I must admit, I was a little turned off by its smelly nature.&nbsp; No one else seemed to notice, but her cage was at ground level and I have a very sensitive nose.&nbsp; It stayed pretty quiet the first couple of days.&nbsp; ">Our family of humans agreed to keep a small furry friend, Oreo, over Spring Break.&nbsp; I must admit, I was a little turned off by its smelly nature.&nbsp; No one else seemed to notice, but her cage was at ground level and I have a very sensitive nose.&nbsp; It stayed pretty quiet the first couple of days.&nbsp; It was my job to watch it and make sure it didn't leave the perimeter of the cage.<br><span>I watched it daily.&nbsp; I even began to watch it at night.&nbsp; It became my duty to sleep by the cage - just in case it decided to make a dash into the house.&nbsp; I barked at it when it came out to grab food.&nbsp; It would run back under his "log" after it grabbed a drink and a snack.&nbsp; I barked.&nbsp; It didn't seem to like me much.</span><br><span>About the third night, it spoke to me.&nbsp; I spoke back.&nbsp; I wasn't exactly sure what it was saying, but it had a high pitch squeak that hurt my ears at first.&nbsp; I slept by it to make sure it didn't leave.</span><br><span>The fourth day it spoke a lot to me.&nbsp; I stayed close so it couldn't run away.&nbsp; It had a strange dialect, but it talked a lot.&nbsp; Pretty soon, we became friends.&nbsp; I stayed close to her cage at all times and slept by her every night.&nbsp; She was a chatty girl and we talked about our past.&nbsp; She told me I had bad breath, which was a little rude.&nbsp; But, she was stinky, too.&nbsp; I didn't mind much.&nbsp; I even told her.</span><br><span>She went back to school this week and I have missed her terribly.&nbsp; I sleep in the spot her cage sat.&nbsp; I took all my meds and am now on another round (plus I got a shot!)&nbsp; My new medicine is the size of horse pills, so my mom cooked some ravioli, cuts it in the middle, and stuffs the medicine inside!&nbsp; It is so tasty, I don't even know it's there.&nbsp; Brigitte and Buddie get to split the other half and they like it, too.I'm anxious to get back to the clinic.&nbsp;  [...] ]]></description><content:encoded><![CDATA[<div  class="paragraph editable-text" style=" text-align: left; I have a UTI which has made me very tired - but I LOVE taking my medicine in the cute, little, tasty treat packets my mom gives me!&nbsp; Then I had my teeth cleaned which made me drool some, but boy does my breath feel fresh now.&nbsp; ">December was bizzzzy!&nbsp; I had several television spots and even tried to help with the weather segment!&nbsp; I got a little excited and ran onto a set on channel 8.&nbsp; But they were very nice and I enjoyed my short weather-dog debut.&nbsp; They are a great group of people and do really wonderful things.&nbsp; Through Katie's Cuisine and my television spots, we raised about $7k for TAPC!&nbsp; I'm so glad we helped give all those kids a wonderful holiday!<br /><br /><span>I've been a little under the weather lately, so I'm resting to get my strength back up.&nbsp; My mom says I just worked too hard in December and I need a little break.&nbsp; I still go to the clinic and get to be loved on by many people...and especially the kids!&nbsp; I love them so much.&nbsp; Joyce was the first person I met when I was taken to the kill shelter in Tennessee.&nbsp; She worked hard to get me out so I could enjoy my senior years helping others.&nbsp; She was so happy to see how well I was doing and was impressed with my new job!&nbsp;
